The craziest show in Tron Girl’s point of view
If you ask us what was the craziest show we have ever had so far, I think that we unanimously agree on this one! Before we started no one could really predict if this show was going to be doable or if it is even safe enough. In the end though, it turned out so amazing and unique that we have decided to write a separate article about it.
So, let’s start from the beginning. In our company, the classic light shows are already a piece of cake, and we are always looking for some new opportunities which can challenge us to upgrade our shows and take them to the next level. One of these opportunities was dancing in the famous monument in Bratislava – the UFO bridge. When we were first asked to make a show in this location, we thought we were going to dance in the restaurant, which is located inside of the UFO structure on the top of the bridge – to our surprise, the opposite was true.
We were asked to dance on the outside of the restaurant, on the ledge behind the window that is only one meter wide, secured just with some ropes. There was a video projection to be screened on the surface of the window to accompany us, our costumes and dance were synchronized with it. A very technically challenging show, to be sure!
The rehearsals
It wasn’t until we stepped out of the window, with a climber who was there to guide us, that we realized just what it was we signed up for. However, after a while spent on the parapet we got used to it easily. The rehearsals were still really exhausting since it was autumn, it was quite cold outside. Additionally, we had to rehearse during the night, because the LED suits and the video projection needed complete darkness. But looking back now, we all really enjoyed the training even if it wasn’t exactly easy. Honestly, sitting in the sky during the night watching the entire city of Bratislava glowing, well, it was quite an unforgettable experience.
The show
The stress came in full just before the show. There were so many people that partook in the preparation of the show (our client, technicians, climbers…) and all of them were relying on us. We quickly went through the choreography and stepped out of the window. Our show was a surprise for the guests, so they were amazed when they saw glowing girls appear behind the window. Luckily, we performed the choreography without any mistakes and everything turned out perfect. People were really impressed by our show and the applause was the best satisfaction for us, as performers.
