Recently, in our company, we were speaking if you can install LED strips on the car, and fully cover every part of the car. The answer is yes of course you can, we did it in our previous installation for Chevrolet Camaro, where we installed 500 meters of RGB strips. Check the video here:

The battery
The main question is, how much power from the battery would drain LED strips from electric batteries, that power the engine during the driving?
For this interesting experiment, we picked an electric car from Audi family – E-Tron. Let´s say we would use the same 500 meters of LED strips, as we did in the previous installation for Chevrolet Camaro.
How long would you drive with a full LED installation, that covers the whole car?
If we would install 500 meters of LED strips, on the car and connect them to Audi E-Tron 95kWh battery – 300 kw (402 hp), the engine with the range of 350 km for one full charge without additional strips. If you would drive 50 km/h, you could drive 322 km with a full LED installation! That is just 8% difference from the battery – it is like you would add one additional air-condition and that’s it (500 meters of LED strips is taking 1,25 KW/h, the car is discharging 27 KW/h per 100 km, when you go 50 km/h, car discharge 13.5 KW/H {(with LED it´s 14.75}).
Ok, that´s not so bad, but where can I use it?
If you would have an interesting car like this, definitely you will shine on every tuning party, where people are showing their most loved toys because it is something, that nobody knows from the streets. Also, this car could be a test car for the Audi clients, which gives people extra WoW factor except for premium feeling from inside the car. The third reason is just to have something extraordinary, that you can show to people around.
Also, you can use the car as a live marketing tool, because you can show any brand or video in a real-time. Actually, it is the same as you are watching an LED screen. As a bonus, the car can be used in the live shows and can be synchronized with beam lights, lasers, fog machines… just anything, that you can imagine in a big scale event.
