High-Altitude Event Production: Opening & Closing the “Connected Experience”

When event agency Creative Sherpas took on the production of Connected Experience in Berlin—a flagship conference centered around Robotics & AI for a world-renowned technology leader—they needed a stage show that felt futuristic, precise, and visually monumental.

Under the direction of Can Yoldas and with custom choreography by Kordula Kohlschmitt, Tron Event Agency delivered an extreme stage spectacle. The core visual centerpiece? A massive 5-story high industrial scaffolding rig serving as the vertical stage for both the Opening and Closing ceremonies.

1. Robotics, AI, and Extreme Choreography at 5 Levels

To reflect the event’s core theme of Robotics & AI, the performance required machine-like precision, synchronized LED programming, and high-energy vertical movement.

Choreographer Kordula Kohlschmitt designed movements specifically for dancers elevated up to 5 stories above the main floor & 3 stories above the stage:

  • Industrial Safety Protocols: Every dancer was fitted with certified climbing harnesses and lanyards anchored directly to the scaffolding frame.

  • Seamless Integration: Harnesses were seamlessly integrated beneath our custom-programmed Tron LED suit rentals, keeping safety gear invisible to the audience while maintaining 100% fall-protection compliance.

2. The Zero-Noise Logistic Solution

Delivering both the Opening and Closing ceremonies posed a unique acoustic challenge. Moving performers, reset gear, or dismantling rigging during executive keynotes on Robotics & AI would create unacceptable metallic noise.

The solution: The performers stayed hooked into their climbing harnesses, positioned high on the 5-story rig, for the entire duration of the conference. This level of operational discipline guaranteed absolute silence during speeches while ensuring instant readiness for the high-energy closing act.
