I have unboxed the full Tron Dance Costume and described each part of the suit in detail. I am describing their usage and explaining the system behind their functioning.
Tron Dance suit consists of 16 body parts, Tron Dance Receiver, spiral cord, and battery. You receive this all in a small pack but do not be afraid, it contains everything you need.
Body parts
Each body part is fully adjustable, using flexible bends because we needed to reach the highest range of movability. Each part also has its specific shape to make the costume even more comfortable. On the other hand, the material needs to be tough because otherwise the LEDs would get broken easily. LEDs are also covered with see-through plastic what protects them and makes the suit water-resistant (expect of connectors joints).
Tron Dance Receiver
I have also described the Tron Dance Receiver in detail. The receiver is really resistant because the dancers are having it on their backs while they are dancing. Except for receiving the signal from Tron Dance Controller and playing the show, receiver has few more functions:
–SD card: you can just insert the SD card with uploaded effects and the receiver plays the effects without any signal so you can walk down the street with the glowing dancers without any unnecessary machinery
–Battery level: informs you about the estate of your battery all the time
–Signal strength: you can check the signal stability
–Ready light: indicates if the whole receiver is ready for the show
–Wireless DMX: informs you about the status of wireless DMX module
–Pair button: synchronizes the receiver with the controller
–Test button: when you want to test your costume before the show but you are out of signal’s reach, you just press this button and receiver gives you white, red, green and blu color one by one, so you can check if all of them are correct
–DMX address: each dancer has its own number in the software which needs to agree with the number on their receivers because the effects are based on their positions in choreography
The receiver also has its antenna and port with 64 pins and hooks. This part is exchangeable because sometimes it can get broken during the transport.
Spiral cord
The spiral cord is really strong and resistant. It is made by the company which makes cables for cars. Each cable has a different length and number at the end to you know which cable belongs to a certain body part. They are just one-sided so you cannot make any mistake.
Battery
The Battery is small and practical. It has its own electrical fuse, the same one which is used in the cars.
