The last Expo of 2020

Hello Tron fans,
Recently we have participated in the wedding expo in Wels, Austria, where we did Tron Wedding show every hour. What was our experience?

First of all, because of the current pandemic situation, we did not believe it can happen even three days before the expo. When it was already two days prior, I wrote an email to the main organizer to double-check if the expo is really coming and he confirmed it, so I have booked a hotel for me and our two dancers. The main reason for my concern was, that in Slovakia we have very strict rules regarding the public gathering, wearing face masks in public, closed restaurants, etc.

It was quite a weird feeling to go to the expo, because of the rules, what we had and it was just unimaginable for us. We had to go to Austria one day before because Wels is from Bratislava 280 km far away. I was really surprised about the whole covid situation/restrictions was in Austria. I had a feeling, that pandemic is no big deal there at all. There were opened restaurants, not wearing masks in public (many times even not in the interior), also workers in our hotel did not wear masks at all (we had to wear them as the customers) and just normal life was going on, like before the pandemic.

The expo was very nice, especially the building that was originally a dance studio with wonderful rooms inside. In the middle of the main room was a bar and parquet, where we had our performances.

The day when the expo started, and our stand was built, the general rehearsal was done, we were ready for people ?. There were a lot of them coming, not the same number as last year but nobody expected it. The reason for not having so many people was, that the government made red the whole city just 1 day before the expo (we use traffic lights colors for cities and their covid situation and I bet you understand, that red means more strict restrictions). Still, our shows were successful and many people took our business card for considering our performance for their wedding. I was quite happy about that because the situation in the event industry is catastrophic. I did not feel in danger at all because everyone kept long distances when we spoke, wore face masks or shields, and hands densification was everywhere. It gave me some optimism that evets can be held even during the pandemic and hope, that it will happen again soon because now the situation is not bright for us.
