Everyone knows Corona destroyed all events, the tourism industry, and almost all services that depend on public gathering. The big question is if LED shows came back after the pandemic due to worldwide changes in online trends – work from home, video and virtual conferences, and in general people worried about meeting each other.
So, does it mean that LED shows will not be in demand because of the lack of conferences?

First, let’s talk about why there should be even more events than in 2019 and in the next blog, we will go through the worse scenario.
Reasons why there will be at least the same number of LED events or more.

Link to this section: 1) Events will be even more important than nowThe reason why this may be true for companies is that it’s important to show company culture and to have a reason to meet with colleagues in reality, not just online via Zoom & Skype conferences. The main reason is that the video conference can’t replace face to face communication and body language that is part of human interaction. You can’t do the same things online as touching other people during conversations, expressing sympathy and it’s important for humans to do this. For this reason, companies may organize more conferences, where all employees or VIP clients can actually meet and interact.
2) Companies will save more money from reduced office spaces
Link to this section: 2) Companies will save more money from reduced office spacesThis is another reason why events can be organized more often than in 2019. Because corporations save more money, they can use it for some extraordinary events. Good food, live music and LED shows are definitely part of it as well.
3) Nothing has been happening for a long time
Link to this section: 3) Nothing has been happening for a long timeWe know that since March 2020 almost no event has been held worldwide. Everything was canceled and companies went online to launch their new products and meet with the clients. Of course, it’s possible to work like this, but definitely, it is not the same as before. When companies pay for something amazing, they expect people to remember it for a long time. Do you remember the Lexus hoverboard promotion in 2015? Or when the new Range Rover claimed 999 steps in China? All these commercials cost an enormous pile of money and it was paying off for the companies. When the pandemic ends, and the world comes back to the old normal, enterprises will be willing to pay for good promotion again.
4) Sports events will welcome spectators again.
Link to this section: 4) Sports events will welcome spectators again.Even the sports industry was not saved from the pandemic. In most countries, all big sports tournaments are currently held without any spectators. The empty stadium doesn’t make the same atmosphere compared to 10 000 screaming fans when the ball hits the goal. It means organizers will be forced to show their audience something extraordinary. Should it be 50 LED dancers on the field?
5) Tons of printed money
Link to this section: 5) Tons of printed moneyThis is a double-edged sword for every economy. Everyone knows that money is printed like there is no tomorrow. Central banks in the majority of countries have a very lax policy of interest rates and fiscal policy. It means there are tons of new money in the system and it needs to be spent somewhere. I am not saying it’s not necessary or important, but maybe some of it will be used in the event industry, to help the whole segment.
I know there can be more reasons why the event industry can flourish after the pandemic, so if you have something to say don’t hesitate to write to us. In the next blog, we will go through a worse scenario – reasons why there wouldn’t be many LED events after the pandemic ends.
